Thanks to Steve for the news group.  I've enjoyed my Sunday logins
since that is when I pick up your posting. I was given the choice of
the USS Constellation or USS Independence for my next tour of duty.
Since I'm established and my family is happy here in San Diego I chose
the Connie.  A mighty aircraft carrier and a major job for me.

I will be part of the Combat Systems suite that maintains the
electronics and self defense weapons on the vessel.  The sad part will
be the fact that Connie will be deploying very soon.  And surprise, me
to.  Email will become harder to get!  Although the truth be known the
ship does have email capability via satellite links.  Amazing when you
remember only few short years ago while I was on the USS Ranger the
ship was getting Christmas packages still in March.

	Alas, maybe near Christmas I can re-apply and become a lurker
once again.
