Subject: Loose stem

Hello to all,

I have this little, minor problem, but anyway: I have a pipe that I've
wrecked (good word?) myself by taking the stem out while it was still hot
(yes indeed, my first pipe). Now it does'nt fit anymore.
I've read an article a few weeks ago where someone had a solution to make a
loose stem fit again. I've searched all the digests I've received sofar, but
could'nt find the article.
Is there someone who could help me out?

[ There are quite a variety of cures.  If the stem isn't cracked, you
can try using a hair dryer to gently heat it, then press down to
expand the stem.  Be careful, and don't force-fit it -- if you get it
too large, sand it down with some fine sandpaper. -S. ]
