Now, on Venturi pipes... back in the Sixties Venturi
was the manufacturer or marketer of The Pipe and The
Smoke, both of which were high-density graphite pipes
(The bowls were black, and the pipes color was a
paint of some form).  They were advertised as being
diswasher safe.  I also remember seeing them back
when smoking was still socially acceptable, as mens
accessories in the Sears Christmas catalog.
