Subject: posting from pipes page

Hello,

I'm just a beginning pipe smoker.  Got into cigars after my son was
born and my wife has been encouraging me towards something that smells
a little better.  I have really appreciated the basic how-to's listed
here at the Pipe's page and other links.  However, I have one problem.
I never seem to be able to finish all the tobacco in my pipe.
Invariably, I have a nice smoke going for 10- 15 min (I think it's
that long but I pretty much lose track of time while enjoying my pipe)
and then the pipe goes out.  When I tap out the ashes, the bottom
third of the pipe is always obviously unsmoked.  I would enjoy a
longer smoke.  The two options seem to be buy a larger pipe or learn
how to smoke the bowl all the way.  Pennypinching Scotsman that I am,
the second is my preference.
