Subject: My first time writing to pipe digest

Hello...I am very happy to be a new subscriber to pipes digest. It is
great to have a place where pipe smokers can discuss a broad range of
matters with each other. 
I am somewhat new to pipe smoking and had some questions and thoughts
so here i go.  
About a month ago I went to Barclay-Rex and bought myself a
Peterson(July 4 edition).  It is a very nice pipe, but i should have
purchased a larger pipe.  Nonetheless, the shop was very nice, but
didn't have all that many pipes.  It had many expensive pipes, and
some cheaper ones.  I was curious to see if anybody knew of a shop in
NY(including the city)  That had a wide variety of pipes for about
$50.  I am really looking for a store that has all types of pipes
including meerschaum, briar, freehand, ect..
Lastly, i was wondering what people thought of Frog Morton, and
Rattray's Red Raparree tobacco.
