Steve,

Greeting from upstate New York! I hope the summer has been good
to all my fellow pipe smokers. I recently was the recipient of a very large
collection of pipes, some 400+ of various pipes of many different brands. 
Many where in good shape and of common brand names, such as Peterson's, 
Ben Wade, Barling, Knute, Comoy, GBD, Jobey, Kaywoodie, Nording and 
many others.

Many of these pipes were sold to Fine Olde Briars and will be
available soon on their web pape. I kept several pipes for my self,
including a brand called "Frasorteret" which I am not familiar with,
but are very nice Freehands. Can you or any other members of the
digest give me some information about this brand?

The pipes are stamped with "Handmade in Denmark", so I assume that
some they might be seconds of a major pipe maker. Any information
would be helpful.
