From: ???????????????? (Lorenzo Muan) Subject: posting from pipes page Dear Steve, Congratualtions once again- the digest is one of the best things to come through the internet! Back to an old query, first, anyone out there know when Barling's make "Niblicks" were made? And the new one: Can anyone help me date this Dunhill (which I think should roughly be between 1914 and 1930): Red tinted, Canadian has on one side of the shank: "H.W." and then, on two separate lines, "DUNHILL" and "LONDON" Other side of the shank "ES6" written bigger than the rest and, again on two lines "INNER TUBE" and "Pat No. 5851/12", but either of the "5's" could be a 3, its practically illegible. Anyhow, I've checked all the sources I know of, but haven't come up with any precise date, so I was wondering if any of you out there had a Dunhill dating book? Thanks again, and best puffs, Lorenzo Muan ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U
