Dear pipe smokers,

Recently I have enlisted on the MacBaren Club. It is a free service to Pipe
Smokers. They give out a magazine and have a ordering system for pipes. This
is the good part.
On the web site there is an offer to enjoy the Great Outdoors! Smoke your
pipe and enjoy the view!
All wonderfull, but......!

What they offer is a DEER-HUNTING trip. It is called" with pipe and rifle in
Scotland". I am stunned to learn that they associate pipe smoking with
hunting. I am a liberal guy (being from Holland) and I feel that everyone
should do the things he wants to do.
But a hunting trip is not the first thing which comes to mind when I think
of pipe smoking.

It is strange that a factory that makes damn good pipe tobacco is promoting
hunting. I have sent them a copy of this mail and I am anxious to learn
their views.
