From: ????????????????? Subject: about pipe smoking Hello Steve, I just came across your pipe smoking home page, I found it very interesting. I have recently purchased a pipe. I have always admired that sweet, pleasant pipe smoke smell. So I went out and bought one. I've got two questions for you, if you don't mind. One, I also occasionally smoke cigars, but not the regular bitter cigars you encounter, the sweet and smooth ones. My favorite is the old styled cigar called "backwoods" It's a great little cigar, smells and tastes great. That is when someone else is smoking it. When I smoke it myself, I cannot smell the sweetness. Now, does that also apply to pipe smoking ? When you smoke it yourself, you can't smell it ?? And two, how often should the filter be changed ?? Oh, one more thing, this "pipe sweetner", is that what gives it the sweet smell, or just the right tobacco will do ? Take care... Leandro [A lot of people notice the "can't smell it yourself" effect. I don't use filters myself, but I'd guess they should be changed when they get saturated or make the draw difficult. Enjoy! -S.] ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U ~\U
